Ice skating can be deemed a hazardous activity, and is undertaken entirely at your own risk. The SSE Arena, Belfast will not be held responsible for any loss or injury incurred due to the activity. By purchasing a ticket and entering the Arena you agree to the following:

  • Your ticket is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Management reserve the right to refuse admission.
  • For health and safety purposes, management reserve the right to amend or withdraw session times, or restrict usage during periods of high demand.
  • You must listen to instructions in the event of an incident. If there is any stoppage to the session for Health & Safety reasons, you will not be entitled to a refund, or part thereof.
  • Ice skates should be properly fitted before taking to the ice. You will not be permitted onto the ice without wearing appropriate ice skates.
  • Children under 12 years should be accompanied by an adult.
  • An adult can only accompany a maximum of 2 children who require assistance on the ice at any one time.
  • Refreshments will be available.
  • Skating aids are subject to availability and on a first-come first-served basis. A 30 min hire period is applicable to these skating aids. You can be no taller than 1.2m with skate on to use.
  • The SSE Arena, Belfast is a non-smoking building and smoking and vaping is not permitted.
  • The use of mobile phones, cameras or other electronic devices is prohibited on the ice.
  • Photography is strictly prohibited on the ice.
  • The SSE Arena, Belfast reserves the right to take photographs, audio or video recordings for promotional use. If you do not agree to be photographed please advise a member of staff immediately.
  • You must strictly adhere to the safety rules set out by The SSE Arena, Belfast.
  • You must adhere to any instructions given by either the Management or Ice Marshals during your session.
  • You must wear appropriate clothing for ice-skating; gloves are advised. No loose clothing, including trailing scarves are not permitted.
  • You must behave in an appropriate manner and accept that you will be asked to leave the Arena should you cause offence or disturbance due to anti-social behaviour without refund.
  • You are not permitted to skate while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances.
  • You will not cause damage to any of the property of The SSE Arena, Belfast.
  • You are not permitted to take any food or drink onto the ice.
  • Personal items such as bags, phones and electronic devices are not permitted on the ice. Lockers are provided at a cost of £1. The SSE Arena, Belfast takes no liability for lost or stolen belongings. All items are left at your own risk.
  • You are considerate to all other skaters during the session.
  • Customers in Wheelchairs are permitted on the ice rink in their wheelchair. Companions are advised but not essential. Companions must wear skates on the ice. Wheelchair users can join in the session but if it is too busy an area may be reserved specifically for them.
  • First Aid Facilities will be available.
