On Wednesday 16 March, the Giants will be vying to win the Challenge Cup, and you won't want to miss it.
Belfast Giants ice hockey is for everyone – whether you're a sports fanatic, you're looking for a fun family night out, or fancy a date night with a difference. The Premier Sports Challenge Cup Final will have all the theatrics, entertainment, and fun of a usual Giants game, but with the added excitement of a potential trophy being lifted on home ice. PLUS, all tickets are only £10, offering exceptional value for money.
There are countless reasons why you should be at The SSE Arena to cheer on the Giants on Wednesday 16 March, but here are our top five.
1. You could be Live on TV!
The Challenge Cup final will be broadcast live on Premier Sports from The SSE Arena, Belfast. So, you could get your 15 minutes of fame when the cameras pan to the crowd!
2. The Drama
You don't have to be a sports fan to love a bit of drama, theatrics, and that chase to win. The Belfast Giants have beaten eight other teams to finish top seed in the Challenge Cup race. It's bound to be a tense, nail-biting final full of friendly rivalry and drama. You're guaranteed big hits, fast hockey, lots of chanting and cheering, and of course, the trophy presentation!
3. Get Ready to be Loud and Proud!
Belfast Giants fans (AKA, The Teal Army) know how to make some noise in support of their team. And on this night – of all nights – we need to get behind our boys. There's nothing Belfast than being clapping 'Tell Me Ma. Now, imagine doing it in an Arena full of people whenever the Belfast Giants score. Get that warm feeling of pride every time you get to shout 'She's the Belle of Belfast City' at the top of your lungs. In some games, it happens pretty often – so be prepared.
4. Intermission activities, including the famous Subway Cannon!
We surveyed a few die-hard hockey fans. It turns out even they usually show up for the intermission activities. We're talking about the type of action you genuinely don't get in other sports. Thanks to our friends at Subway Titanic Quarter, you could catch a flying sub fired from a real-life Subway cannon! Where else would you get it?
5. Electric Atmosphere fuelled by food, fans, and a cheeky pint
It's not just The SSE and Belfast Giants players that bring the energy to the Arena. While the hockey players' fuel might look slightly different, we suggest a nachos and pint combination. Our food and beverage outlets are all around the concourse with many classic and elevated stadium food options!
It's not often you get a final with two of the League's top teams playing in Belfast. Tickets are selling fast for this game, so avoid the Wednesday night Insta scrolling FOMO and book your tickets to experience a cup final for the fastest game on ice live in person!
