The SSE Arena, Belfast Celebrates 25 Years With Launch of Odyssey 25 Club
As The SSE Arena, Belfast marks its 25th anniversary, the venue proudly announces the launch of the Odyssey 25 Club, a new initiative celebrating performers and productions that have played a defining role in the venue’s quarter-century history.
The Odyssey 25 Club recognises acts and shows that have performed 25 times or more at the arena, honouring not only the frequency of their visits but also the lasting connection they have built with audiences across generations. Each inductee will receive a special golden vinyl plaque, replicating the gold discs on permanent display in the back-of-house areas, as a tribute to their contribution to the arena’s legacy.
The first inductee to join the Odyssey 25 Club is Disney On Ice, a family favourite that has been returning to the arena since 2001 and has performed more than 230 live shows to over one million customers at the venue. With countless sell-out performances, Disney On Ice has become synonymous with magical family entertainment in Northern Ireland, captivating children and adults alike. Its inaugural induction into the Odyssey 25 Club recognises the remarkable consistency of its performances and the strength of its ever-growing relationship with the venue for more than two decades.

Since opening in 2000, The SSE Arena has hosted over 3,000 events, including more than 770 Belfast Giants ice hockey games and 1,100 concerts, selling over 13 million tickets. Over 25 years, the arena has built a reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s most versatile and prestigious entertainment venues and has played a pivotal role in spotlighting and nurturing local talent, as well as hosting some of the world’s biggest names. Beyond entertainment, the arena has become a cultural landmark for Belfast, creating experiences that bring communities together and form lifelong memories.
